Children Assisted in a Real Environment Ltd (CARE Ltd) was established in 2003 and specialises in providing residential accommodation for children and young people – with individual homes for both, children with learning disabilities and autism and young people with emotional and challenging behavioural difficulties (EBD)..
Although the services we provide for the children and young people we look after have differing dynamics and service requirements, our philosophy and approach is the same:

Ricky Phelan
Registered Manager, St Benets House
Ricky has a level 5 Diploma in leadership and management with over 18 years’ experience working in the care sector. Ricky is qualified in British Sign Language Level 2 and Level 6 Makaton

Carly Keys
Registered Manager, Robinson House
Carly has over ten years experience of working with young people with autism and learning difficulties, and Level 3 Diploma in Residential Children’s Homes.

Cassandra Ebanks
Registered Manager at Sawadi House
Cassandra has over ten years experience of working with young people in the social care sector, Cassandra has a BA in Childhood Studies and Diploma Level 5 in Children and Young People Residential Management

Linda has over 20 years’ experience in looking after young people in care. Her company has a excellent reputation for providing a caring, homely environment and achieving positive outcomes for the young people.

Shaminder Barn
Deputy Manager at St Benets
With over 8 years’ experience, I have worked passionately within the care sector supporting vulnerable individuals with autism and complex needs, I have a level 5 Diploma in leadership and management. Working with individuals who have autism, ADHD, learning disabilities and challenging behaviours, I have learnt to use different approaches and continue to develop my knowledge and skills. I believe all young people have the potential to thrive given the right care, stability and empowerment.

Mandie Whiteford

I have worked for CARE Ltd. since 2017 and been supported to grow within the organisation from bank support to my current deputy manager role.
I have always found joy in supporting young people with learning disabilities and with our therapeutic interventions I enjoy seeing the life progress and positive outcomes made by all our young people.
I look forward to moving towards becoming a registered manager within the company in the near future and continuing my professional development.
